Holes: Oral discussion/test

Holes: Discussion/conversation in pairs or groups of three

There are 4 parts to the test:

• Characters: You will discuss 2 or 3 of the characters from the book. Be ready to describe their personality and why you would describe them in this way. Can you think of any events (händelser) that have happened in the book that support your thoughts about them? Make sure to give examples!

• Statements: You will discuss some statements. Do you agree with the statement? Do you disagree? Why or why not? Explain your thoughts! 

• Mixed questions about the book and film: One of the questions you may discuss has to do with similarities/differences between the book and the film. The others are 'surprise' questions. 

•  Filling in the Holes... : I will give you the beginning of a sentence and you will try to finish it. This part has to do with making connections between events in the book. Did you pick up on them? It's okay if you didn't...this part is just a bit of fun :)

The pairs will have 15 minutes to discuss and the groups of 3 will have about 20 minutes. If we don't manage to discuss all 4 parts- that's okay, I will get lots of information about your speaking level during the 15-20 minutes!

Remember to discuss with each other and to develop your thoughts- why do you think the way you do- give examples!
